Overview
An overview of what would be expected when training in Emergency First Aid.
- Emergency First Aid at Work Course 1 Day, otherwise known as a 1-Day Emergency First Aid is for Low-Risk Workplaces.
- Training for those that need to have a basic knowledge of First Aid and be able to respond to a small range of injuries that could happen in a low-risk work venue.
- Be sure as an employer that the training provider has met a national standard and training in legal terms is suitable and sufficient (RQF)*
- Specialist catastrophic haemorrhage: Training using blood loss control products and equipment can be included on all First Aid courses and annotated on the Certificate for each successful learner.
- Duration: 1 Day - 6 hours
- Delivery: Face-to-face on site training
- Qualification: Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 (RQF). Accredited by an Ofqual Regulated awarding body.
What You Get
Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 (RQF)* is Accredited by an Ofqual Regulated awarding body. This course meets requirements of The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and is valid for 3 years.
- One Day Training/6-hours.
- First Aid Training Pack for each student containing CPR Face-shield, training bandage, triangular bandage, and gloves.
- Training on both Semi automatic and Fully automatic AED's
- Taught at your premises.
- Hardback full colour First Aid manual with quick reference key.
- Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 (RQF) Certificate via PDF valid for 3 years**
- Taught by a Paramedic.

We ensure participants will be safe to be a First Aider by assessing their knowledge with multiple choice papers and practical assessments.
- The roles and responsibilities of an Emergency First Aider
- Assessing an incident
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- CPR and Defibrillation
- Recovery Position
- Choking
- Seizures and Shock
- Wounds and bleeding
- Minor injuries, such as cuts, grazes and bruises
- Minor burns and scalds

Who is it for?
- The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) is suitable for low-risk workplaces such as offices and is one day in duration.
- Suitable for any person who wants to be a First Aider.
- If you are in a high-risk workplace, such as construction, forestry, agriculture, or a glazier your staff may need to undertake the three-day course.
Course Cost
Emergency First Aid at Work training can be delivered at your venue.
A group of up to 6 learners can be trained on-site for £765.60.
Each additional learner is £95.00 up to a max of 12 learners with 1 trainer.
