Emergency First Aid Skills
For workplaces, the Emergency First Aid course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety First Aid Regulations 1981.
In addition to complying with the requirements of the HSE, the Skills learnered on a Emergency First Aid Course will last a lifetime.
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation): Learn how to perform CPR correctly to help restore breathing and circulation in cases of cardiac arrest.
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED): Learn how to use an AED safely as part of the chain of survival.
- Recovery Position: Learn how to position someone correctly to maintain their aiway when they are not responsive but breathing normally.
- Choking: Learn how to perform back blows and abdominal thrusts, effectively including aftercare for the person.
- Bleeding Control: Understand the types of wounds, blood loss, and how to manage minor wounds effectively.
- Burns and Fractures: Discover how to provide immediate first aid to prevent the persons condition from getting worsening.
The Health and Safety Excutive state where life threatening bleeding is a risk training must be provided.
This is formally referred to as catastrophic bleeding or catastrophic Hemorrhage training.
Specialist Equipment First Aid Training
We offer training on specalist equipment and blood loss control products to manage life-threatening bleeding. Successful learners will have this skill noted on their certificates.
For operators of public buildings, this training supports compliance with Martyn’s law (Terrorism Protection of Premises Act 2025), which mandates enchanced first aid readiness and response in public venues.
