- Duration: (Minimum) 3 Days, 4 days recomended.
- Delivery: Face-to-face on-site training.

Course Structure
Moving & Handling Train the Trainer, Level 3 RQF Course
We ensure participants will be safe in order to provide Train the Trainer moving and handling (Emergency services) by assessing their knowledge via multiple choice question papers, written assessments, micro teaching and practical assessments.
Unit 1. Principles and practice of safe moving and handling for the emergency services:
- Solo Manual Handling Training
- Using Manual Handling equipment
- Team Manual Handling
- Multiple choice question paper
- Manual Handling Risk Assessment.
Unit 2. Moving People Safely:
- Solo Supporting of
- Manual Handling
- Moving a person using equipment
- Moving a person as part of a team
- Multiple choice question paper.
Unit 3. Delivering and assessing a moving people safely session:
- Solo Supporting of
- Manual Handling
- Moving a person using equipment
- Moving a person as part of a team
- Multiple choice question paper.
All three units must be completed and passed in order to gain the award.
Students will be required to demonstrate how to use a range equipment safely and correctly, risk assessment, and assessed microteach training sessions to others.
This in in addition to demonstrating theoretical knowledge assessed using multiple choice question papers.
About The Trainer
The trainer involved with this course is an experienced frontline NHS Paramedic.
The trainer possess a range of specalist moving and handling qualifications, teaching and assessing qualifications.
Furthermore the trainer is a Former NHS Subject Matter Expert in Moving and Handling and former NHS Moving and Handling Lead for an NHS Trust.
They have experience in teaching in a wide variety of settings from NHS acute trusts, community settings, private hospitals, Higher Education Institutions, and Mental Health services.
Clinically the trainer has experience of Pre-hospital Moving and Handling from the ambulance prospective, both forseen moving and handling situations and unplanned emergency moving and handling situations.
The trainer is able to provide a robust background, clinical knowledge and experience to the training to ensure best practice for training to be cascaded out.

Requirements
Persons should have:
- At least 18 years old on the first day of the training
- Able to meet the physical requirements needed to undertake and instruct moving and handling practices and training techniques.
- At least 2 years’ experience of working in a role that involves moving and handling people (of which 1 year should be in an emergency services setting)
- Experience of work-based mentoring, practice education or instruction or hold a teaching qualification
- A minimum of Level 2 in literacy or equivalent.
