Overview
- Blended Moving and Handling training for objects/loads.
- 6 hours online (Moving and Handling theory) followed by 6 hours face-to-face training.
- Evidence regulated training that meets the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Moving and Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (as ammended).
- Be sure as an employer that the training provider has met a national standard and training in legal terms is suitable and sufficient (RQF)*
- Duration: 12 Hours
- Delivery: 6 hours online, followed by 6 Hours Face-to-Face on site training.
- Qualification: Safe Manual Handling Level 2 (RQF), Accredited by an Ofqual Regulated awarding body.

About The Trainer
The trainer involved with this course is an experienced frontline NHS Paramedic.
The trainer possess a range of specalist moving and handling qualifications, teaching and assessing qualifications.
Furthermore the trainer is a Former NHS Subject Matter Expert in Moving and Handling and former NHS Moving and Handling Lead for an NHS Trust.
The trainer emphasis the importance of the Task, Individual, Load and Equipment in risk identification and reduction with a focus on biomechanics and ergonomics in the workplace.
The trainer is able to provide a robust background, knowledge and experience to the course.

- Stages involved in a manual handling risk assessment.
- Safe movement principles.
- Safe movement principles associated with manual handling, including the body’s:
- Musculoskeletal system
- Centre of gravity
- Lever system
- Manual handling equipment:
- Types of manual handling aids and equipment
- Maintenance and requirements for testing
- Manual handling practical training sessions:
- Solo lifting (safe lifting), carrying and lowering an object
- Team manual handling
- Using equipment.
