First Aid For Teachers
Education providers need to provide training for persons in their care and be confident in the application of first aid when needed. We have done the hard work for you and written a handy blog to help you with the subject of first aid for teachers.
What type of course do I need for children?
Either a 6-hour EPFA course or the 12 Hour Course. These courses are for children who are in education settings inspected by Ofsted.

We now have a combined first Aid course that includes both a FAW qualification (Health and Safety Executive Requirements) and First Aid for Schools (Ofsted Requirements). Please Click here for more information.
School First Aid for the Outdoors
Forest School First Aid should undertake either of the courses as above as above, based on your risk assessment.
Owing to the additional risks of being in nature we would recommend that forest schools undertake the Forestry First Aid + F which covers subjects that are not normally covered on a first aid course for Schools. Subjects include snake bites, blood loss, and Lyme disease.
Keep up to date!
Training knowledge and skills can fade with time. We are never as confident as the months and years passed by since our last course, The HSE strongly advise that you undertake annual refresher training.
